Care Instructions - Alocasia

Alocasia are stunning tropical plants with arrow-head shaped leaves. Find a warm, bright area in your home for these beauties.

In the warm summer months of the growing season, Alocasia can produce a new leaf every week.

Once the plant is in its dormant period (late autumn to winter), it will be resting unless kept warm. If it appears to die, keep it and it will come back to life in spring.

Consider planting your Alocasia into a terracotta pot to help ensure there's no root rot.

Alocasia love warmth, humidity and loose soil
15-30° Celsius
Loose, well-draining potting mix with perlite
Bright, indirect light
Soil should be kept moist, but never soggy. Water significantly less in winter

Fertilise every two weeks over spring and summer at half strength, don't fertilise during winter.
